This period is marked by the dissapearence of Mass Transit. At about this time I became more interested in planning highways and systems than subways. I also liked the clean spare look of the the highways on paper. it was also around then that I took a family trip to Los Angeles, land of the Freeway.

 

Many of these maps had their major streets layed out first in pencil before drawing in the details, and I had a greater interest in parks as well as housing projects.
